Korean
Hand Energetics
Korean Hand Energetics (KHE) is a popular subset of
Korean Acupuncture where the hands are considered a
micro system of the entire body.
The KHE
reflex map of the hand was discovered in 1971 by Dr.
Tae-Woo Yoo, O.M.D., Ph.D. in Korea and has been
clinically and experimentally tested for accuracy.

In our practice, this treatment is performed without
the use of needles. Stimulation of points
in
KHE
is done through a variety of methods, including point
massage, tiny tape-on metal acupressure pellets, heat
with moxa platforms, or
cold laser therapy.
Every part of the body
can be treated through specific points on the hands. By
locating and stimulating these specific correspondence points, KHE resolves blocked energy that relates
to pain in the body. By using classical
acupuncture theory, all organ and meridian relationships
can also be treated through KHE.
This allows application of the healing power of
acupuncture principles to the basic
KHE
hand reflexology system.

TREATMENT
Patients can easily
continue the KHE treatments at home
for even more rapid improvement of their conditions.
During the office visit,
patients are instructed in the beginning levels of KHE.
This level of knowledge allows them to treat themselves
and their family members in order to remedy simpler
problems and to maintain good health. Several hundred
thousand lay persons in Korea and elsewhere practice
self and family treatment. More complex, chronic
problems requires the assistance of practitioners with
advanced KHE knowledge and clinical experience.

because the entire acupuncture system found on the whole
body is also found in miniature on the hands. This
addition to the reflex system gives hand therapy many
treatment options.
KHE is
